Fun had by all on Sunday at Round 2 of the GMBC Anaconda Winter Series.  A combination format of short Individual Time Trial and longer Team Time Trial challenged everyone - whether it was the sprint around the 5km ITT course or keeping with your team around the 22km TTT circuit.  Riders and Race crew enjoyed the day and the high-tech timing equipment worked like a charm.  Thanks to all those who helped out on the day.

The results are posted on the RESULTS page as usual Cool

Also, the following files have also been posted:

Winter NFF points; Winter Series points; Club Championship Points - so check them out and see where you are in the standings!

The Crazy 6 Enduro is done and dusted so if you weren't there you missed out.  A great day on a great track. The results are available on our results page if you want to check out placings, lap times and the competition.

According to the timing computer, the fastest lap was posted by Scott Liston (Felt team) in a time of 21:18 - around 31km/hr -  followed closely by Troy Bailey (solo) in 22:54.

Here's a shot of one of the GMBC junior riders enjoying the berms on Cressy track.

Thanks to the sponsors of the event, BICYCLE SUPERSTORE, to the race crew who made it all happen and to the weather which kindly decided not to precipitate on us (even if it was freezing in the timing tent!)

GMBC Winter Series

Wednesday, 06 May 2009

The first round of the ANACONDA GMBC Winter Series was run on Sunday 3rd May with 80 riders pedalling hard around a 33km course which gave a taste of everything from rock garden and switchbacks to corrugations and fast downhills - if you weren't there and you want to see what you missed out on, check out the GPS plot  http://connect.garmin.com/player/4369637.

Competition was fierce and there were thrills and spills (with the odd broken rib!) so check out the results in the Results section.  Remember for GMBC club members points will be allocated from this race towards the GMBC Club Championship (see details below)

There are 2 more races to go in the Winter Series plus the GMBC champs event so check out the FLIER and get out training.  Remember there is also the Winter No Frills Fridays Series coming up (see below).
